For years, the Marathon has brought our community together for one incredible fall day filled with energy, school spirit, and student participation. It’s a beloved annual event that builds community and raises important funds through classroom excitement and shared celebration.
The Prep Fund builds on that spirit by creating a steady, predictable source of support that lasts all year. While the Marathon focuses on one big day, the Prep Fund focuses on sustainable giving — allowing supporters to designate their gifts and participate monthly at any level.

As funds accumulate, school directors overseeing those programs will work with the Foundation to identify priority projects and opportunities that best serve students and advance St. Croix Prep’s mission.
As a charter school, St. Croix Prep receives less funding per student than traditional public schools in Minnesota. This creates an approximate budget shortfall of $1,100 per student. Through our fundraising programs — including the Prep Fund and other community initiatives — we aim to reduce and ultimately eliminate this gap.
The Prep Fund uses the Zeffy fundraising platform.
No. Zeffy doesn’t charge fees. The form will automatically include an optional contribution to support Zeffy, but you can select ‘Other’ and enter your preferred amount, including $0.00.
Yes, your gift is tax deductible. A charitable receipt will be issued by the online giving platform, Zeffy, on behalf of the St. Croix Prep Foundation.
